155 (Maidenhead) Squadron ATC

You can join us if you are between 12 (and in school year 8) and 16 years of age. Cadets are able to stay until they are 20 years of age, subject to certain restrictions like DBS/CRB checks upon reaching their 18th birthday.

If you would like to find out how to join, please email oc.155@rafac.mod.gov.uk and we will send you the joining forms (or they can be downloaded below) and return them electronically to us and then join as a cadet and start engaging in parade nights. Once we have received your signed forms back, you will be provided with access to our portal to view the training schedule. Please check your spam/junk folder for emails as we are aware of some issues.

New cadets will not require any special equipment or uniform and will be given basic training in subjects like the RAF, ATC, First Aid, principles of flight as well as some practical subjects including Drill and Weapons handling.

Once this part of the basic training has been completed, cadets will be able to take part in a much wider range of activities, such as flying, gliding and also be eligible to attend summer camps and adventure training weekends.

We currently Parade Mondays and Thursday between 1900 Hrs & 2115 Hrs

We have at least 2 opportunities per year for potential cadets and their parents to join us and find out more on one of our pre-induction evenings. They are normally held on the second Thursday in January and the first Thursday in September from 1930 Hrs and last around an hour. You will be given a presentation, information and forms on the evening that will assist you with joining as a cadet. New cadets can start attending as members of the squadron from the Monday following the pre-induction evening. Cadets only need to pay subscriptons of Ten Pounds per month from when they are issued with their uniform.
